That's all folks

Well it was an interesting little experiment but I think it's safe to say it didn't go as I had anticipated. As far as I can tell the only folks that have viewed this blog are a couple of folks I've told about it as well as a couple curious folks from HF forums when I first started it up. The interest however has waned.

No worries though, it was a fun little run while it lasted. I told myself I would only keep putting in the effort if it seemed people were at least somewhat interested or as long as it was still fun to do. With neither criteria being met I'd say it's time to shut it down. That and I've found it really hard to commit the time needed to watch every second of the game waiting for a GPP to come up and then record and upload it later. I was hoping to do an interview with Gene after the season was over but I doubt he even knows this blog exists.

If I do notice a really good one from time to time I'll upload it to my Youtube account for sure and perhaps here if I'm in the mood. So at least some of the doozies will be there if anyone is ever looking. That's how this whole thing got started in the first place. Me looking for a picture or video of Gene Principe in a hot dog costume. Alas I haven't been able to track it down, but I do have him in a santa suit so that is a nice consolation prize.

I'm looking forward to the draft more and more as the season drags on. A nice big 1st line Center or top pairing defenceman sure would look good as part of the Oilers rebuild.

Take care everyone!

Hey man, I hafta say I'm sorta dissapointed, it was pretty nice if I missed a game to run over here and see what shenanigans gene was up to.

Oh and I actually found this through a friend, so there are some people out there who don't know you and enjoy watching gene make a fool of himself.

Keep the youtube channel up!

Noooooooo DON't do it man!

This blog is awesome. I thought only me and a few of my friends thought Gene was a Prince of Puns. I now know that there are more true GP fans out there. I only found this blog a couple weeks ago but it rules. I know blogging can be tough. No one reads mine but it's fun to do. Do it for yourself, and me hahahhhaa, but only if you love to do it.

As a graduate of journalism I look to Gene as being a personal hero of mine. I don't have TV and I have to watch the games on the internet so I usually don't even get to see Gene because I watch whatever feed is being picked up and it is usually the American one. You have made it possible that I don't miss any great GP moments.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I think there are more people who read this than you think. I have passed it on to others as well and I am sure they have passed it on to their friends.

I hope this isn't the end. If it is, thanks for what you have done.

damn that sucks. I referred a couple people to this site also but yeah, seems like tons of work. I guess it would be best to just have a youtube account where you uploaded a collection there that would be equally as hilarious.

Anyway thanks for the laughs, it would be great to compile all of genes puns together and good luck in your future endeavors.

Oh, too bad. It was definitely a great idea, but I can understand it's a lot of work to keep up. But yah definitely get the doozies out on youtube, I think there's plenty of people that enjoy watching the bits....just not enough to check a blog every gamenight I guess. Thanks for the effort anyhow!
